About the role:
As a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant, your role will involve working closely with children in small group settings, leading booster and intervention sessions tailored to Key Stage 1 students. Your focus will be on helping children improve their literacy and numeracy skills, assisting with social and emotional development, and providing specialized support for those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
This position will offer a mix of one-on-one time with students and collaborative work with our talented teachers, creating a truly rewarding experience. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for working with young children and a patient, encouraging approach to learning. You’ll need previous experience in a similar role, especially in booster or intervention support, and experience working with SEN students is highly desirable. Flexibility, creativity, and a readiness to engage children in fun, meaningful ways are essential.

• Prior experience working in Key Stage 1 or similar early years setting. • Knowledge of SEN support and intervention techniques. • A collaborative, warm, and positive attitude. • A desire to make a genuine impact on young learners’ educational journeys.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supporting individual students or small groups to reinforce learning concepts. • Assisting with personalised learning plans for children with SEN. • Leading interactive activities that make learning enjoyable and accessible. • Providing extra guidance to children who may need more confidence or support to reach their potential. • Contributing to the overall positive environment of the classroom by offering encouragement, motivation, and a smile each day.
