Quality Assurance Engineer

Quality Assurance Engineer - REMOTE - InsurTech Accelerant is building a new platform that will serve as the backbone of how risk is exchanged in the future. We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Software QA Engineer to join the SaaS Platform development team. As a Software QA Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing comprehensive test plans to ensure the quality and reliability of our platform. The ideal candidate will have a passion for quality, a strong business and user focus, and be an advocate for quality assurance best practices. If you join our team, these are some of thing you’ll be doing: Design and execute test plans, test cases, and testing procedures to identify defects and ensure product quality. Review and provide feedback on code, architecture, and product requirements. Help debug, investigate and perform root cause analysis of the defects. Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks and ensure high-quality product deliveries. Develop, maintain automated tests and enhance test coverage using industry-standard tools and frameworks. What you bring to the table: Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills. Passion for improving testing effectiveness using different tools and automation techniques. Strong coding ability. Desire to learn and grow. Desired qualifications: Minimum of 5 years software testing and test development experience. Coding experience in JS, Python, TypeScript. Bash/ Shell scripting. Experience with back back-end testing: Node, Docker, Postman, Microservices. Experience with end-to-end automation frameworks: Playwright, Cypress, Selenium. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Experience working with data analytics platforms. Working knowledge of RDBMS and SQL. Experience in the Insurance industry is nice to have.
