Are you a property inspector or Maintenance surveyor just starting out, do you have a HNC or Housing related qualification that is underutilised. Wanting to take on a contract with Minimum 3 months, working with an amazing Social Housing provider that's looking to build upon their experienced team. As a Building Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting inspections of repair and maintenance work across a small portfolio in central West London. Benefits Daily rate: £300+ per day 8 hr days Fantastic opportunities to develop Room for career progression permanent role opportunities - if wanted Great working environment Hybrid/remote working Day to day responsibilities: Inspecting repair work at various stages, from pre- to post-completion, including assessing work quality, materials used, cost, timelines, and tenant satisfaction. Evaluating contractor performance and providing constructive feedback. Inspecting properties for tenants considering mutual exchanges and reporting findings Maintaining accurate records of inspections in line with performance indicators. Instructing contractors on corrective actions for any defective work and confirming completion of remedial work. Inspecting properties in response to complaints, as well as issues related to condensation, damp, disrepair, and damage at the request of the Repairs Manager. Identifying necessary works and issuing work orders as required. Providing detailed written reports of inspection visits to share with colleagues, tenants, and external agencies. About you: Understanding of building maintenance processes and the responsibilities of employers and contractors. Knowledge of landlord obligations and repair responsibilities. Familiarity with relevant health and safety regulations. Background in housing or property maintenance is essential. Ability to identify building issues and initiate appropriate remedial actions. Proficient in preparing and writing detailed reports.
