Job Requirements / Description

Hexwired have partnered with an exciting low-latency software house who are looking to add to their team a new FPGA engineer. This company is looking for an engineer with experience in the design of FPGAs, and Verilog and VHDL languages.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop advanced algorithmic trading systems on cutting-edge FPGA platforms.
  • Define and analyse top-level architecture.
  • Design and verify FPGA infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with quantitative analysts to design, verify, and validate custom trading algorithms.

Required Skills:

  • Deep knowledge of digital logic, synchronous design, and computer architecture.
  • Proficient in Hardware Description Languages (e.g., Verilog, VHDL), EDA tools, and FPGA design tools.
  • Experience with digital design flows: from RTL coding and simulation to synthesis, place & route, and hardware emulation.
  • Skilled in Xilinx and Intel/Altera FPGA tools.
  • Proficient in scripting (Python).
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-driven with excellent communication abilities.
