About the role: Supply TA: We’re looking for flexible and enthusiastic Supply Teaching Assistants to join our team and support primary students in our partner schools across the borough of Havering. Whether you’re new to teaching assistance or a seasoned professional, this role gives you the chance to gain valuable experience and impact young learners’ lives. As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you’ll step into different classrooms across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, providing vital support to teachers and helping students thrive. You’ll have the unique opportunity to explore a range of settings, ages, and abilities, from general class support to booster sessions and interventions. Schools in our network are friendly and inclusive, so you’ll feel at home, no matter where you work. Experience in SEN is desirable but not essential; if you have a passion for making a positive impact, we’d love to hear from you!

Application Requirements:

• Prior experience in a primary school setting is preferred but not essential. Candidates with a relevant qualification (such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant certificate) will be at an advantage. • Ability to effectively communicate with both students and staff, adapting to diverse classroom environments and building positive relationships. • Willingness to work across different year groups, including Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, and to support a range of learning needs, including Special Educational Needs (SEN). • A current Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate or willingness to apply for one, along with proof of eligibility to work in the UK. • A strong understanding of and dedication to maintaining a safe, inclusive environment for all students, upholding safeguarding practices and promoting student welfare.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting teachers with class-wide activities and ensuring every child receives equal opportunity to learn. • Assisting with booster and intervention sessions for students who need additional support. • Working with children with Special Educational Needs, enhancing their learning experience. • Building positive relationships with students and fostering a safe, welcoming environment. • Adapting to various classroom settings and adjusting your approach to fit each unique class.
