Location: Leeds & Surrounding Areas Salary: Competitive, based on experience Benefits: Company car, fuel allowance, and more Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Cleaning Area Manager to oversee multiple sites in Leeds and surrounding areas. This role is critical to ensuring exceptional cleaning standards and client satisfaction. You will supervise a dedicated workforce, manage staffing levels, and ensure all health and safety regulations are strictly followed. As a key point of contact for clients, you will also play a vital role in resolving issues and maintaining effective communication between all stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: * Team Supervision: Oversee the workforce across all sites, ensuring cleaning standards are consistently met, and that services are delivered effectively. * Training & Development: Implement and oversee training programs for cleaners, ensuring cost-effective solutions and competency in safety and client requirements. * Staffing & Vacancy Management: Ensure adequate staffing levels by managing vacancies, covering for absences, and working with HR to hire permanent employees. Conduct inductions and manage probation periods for new hires. * Collaboration & Problem Solving: Work closely with the Contracts Manager to resolve issues related to cleaning standards, product delivery, and client satisfaction. * Timesheet Accuracy: Collect and verify employee timesheets, ensuring they are accurate before submission. * Client Relations: Act as the main point of contact for client inquiries or concerns, resolving any issues promptly to maintain high levels of client satisfaction. * Performance Monitoring: Track and report on performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions when necessary. * Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all health and safety regulations, company policies, and safe working practices. * Absence Cover: Provide cover for site absences due to sickness or other reasons, ensuring that service delivery is uninterrupted. Qualifications & Skills Required: * Proven experience in a similar area management role, ideally within the cleaning or facilities management sector. * Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in training and development. * Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple sites and projects simultaneously. * Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements. * Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients, staff, and management. * Ability to handle operational challenges and ensure service continuity during staff absences.
