Our client is a well known contract logistics provider operating across multiple sectors in the UK. This role will oversee an established contract that has recently renewed its partnership with the business.
Description
In the role of contract manager, you will be responsible for the following:
- Ensuring the operation operates to the mutual benefit of the customer and the company in all ways.
- Ensuring all KPI's, such as operational and financial targets are met as required
- Being actively involved with budget reviews with added value thinking for the customer.
- The delivery of H&S Safety across the contract, leading from the front with both behaviours and actions
- Engaging developing and motivating your team to ensure a positive and constructive workplace and colleague engagement
- Working efficiently to tight deadlines to ensure customer satisfaction targets and service targets are adhered to in line with our values and behaviours
- Ensuring an effective people resourcing plan to meet the needs of the business
- Building relationships with business partners to ensure that they meet the service level agreements
Profile
The successful candidate will have management experience working within a 3PL environment and will have a deep understanding of operating processes and requirements across transport, warehouse and associated departments. They will have worked closely with clients, developing relationships and will be commercially astute with the ability to deliver benefit against an open book budget. The role requires strong people management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels, both internally and externally. Finally, they will have the enthusiasm, stamina and commitment to meet the considerable challenges of operating in a highly customer focused environment.
