Class 2 Driver / Labourer

Driver Hire Basingstoke & Newbury is seeking a dedicated Driver / Labourer to join our team and work with a highly reputable client based on a project in the centre of Basingstoke, Hampshire. The Role: * Position: Driver / Labourer * Contract: Immediate Start, with the contract expected to end in 2026. * Start Time: 07:30 * Working Days: Monday to Friday (Occasional weekend work may be required) * Shift Length: 8 hours per day * Responsibilities: Assisting the company with collections and deliveries to the work site from their compound in Basingstoke, their Head Office in Hayling Island, or their supplier in Bournemouth. Once on site, the deliveries will need to be offloaded and passed to the relevant team. At present, the company are using a 7.5t vehicle, but this will move up to a Class 2 vehicle in due course, so candidates would need to have the relevant qualifications to go up to a Class 2 vehicle. What You Need: * Licence: Full and valid Class 2 (CAT C) licence * Certifications: Valid CPC and Digi Tacho card. * Experience: At least 1 year of driving experience, up to and including Class 2 vehicles. * Skills: Excellent timekeeping and strong customer service abilities * Transport: Must have your own transport for commuting to work * PPE: Hi Viz Vest, Safety Shoes and Hard Hat would be required to work onsite (Hard Hat supplied by Company) Why Work with Driver Hire Basingstoke & Newbury? * Competitive Pay: Basic hourly rate of between £ 14.27 & £ 17.02 (£ 15.99 to £ 19.07 per hour including Holiday Pay), dependent on experience.
