Chipmaster Ltd is a potato processor based 1.5 miles outside Broughshane, Ballymena, County Antrim and we are seeking a reliable and dedicated Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of goods while maintaining high standards of customer service. This position requires a strong commitment to safety and efficiency, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients. Duties Operate the van to transport goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. Load and unload items, which may involve heavy lifting, so physical fitness is essential. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving. Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organisation of goods. Skills Proven experience as a Van Driver or in a similar role, preferably within a delivery environment. Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety standards. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and clients effectively. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently during deliveries. A valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type is essential.
