AWS Data Engineer (Contract)

Leading eCommerce client now requires a Data Engineer to enable continuous improvement across their operations/processes. This role will focus on leveraging our client’s middleware and analytics tooling ensuring the production of high-quality data to boost overall improvement. Key Responsibilities: Create, manage and maintain data pipelines. Design, develop and test scalable data architectures ensuring high end performance and reliability. Assist cross functional teams in efficiently modelling and structuring data, optimising clarity, integrity and efficiency. Oversee all stages of the project lifecycle (From planning to delivery). Ensure customer data is secure and adhere to best practices in data privacy and protection. Key requirements: Strong commercial data engineering experience – Developing and maintain data platforms. Strong experience with AWS or Azure. Excellent data modelling skills. Strong experience with Spark and Databricks. Excellent Python skills, In depth knowledge of SQL and experience managing and querying data lakes. This is an initial 12-month contract role which provides a daily rate of up to £600 per day (Outside IR35). In terms of office location, this role is hybrid with one day per week in our clients London Office.
