Technical GRC Manager

Technical GRC Manager (Cybersecurity & GRC) Location : Hybrid – 3 days on-site Salary : £100,000 - £110,000 I'm seeking an experienced Team Lead/Manager for a pivotal role within my client's Secure-by-Design function, overseeing cybersecurity assessments for large-scale projects across the organization. This role combines a deep knowledge of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) with the ability to understand and challenge technical concepts and engineers. Key Responsibilities : Lead cyber assessments for all new projects, ensuring both internal and external security policies are met. Oversee business-as-usual (BAU) projects related to firewall rules, access management , and more. Work closely with experts to assess and advise on infrastructure, cybersecurity , and other tech-related projects. Manage a growing team, including building a team of engineers and GRC professionals in India . (3-4 direct reports) Serve as a key advisor, providing strategic insight and challenging technical decisions when necessary. What I’m Looking For : A strong GRC background with the ability to understand and communicate technical concepts to experts/engineers. Experience in conducting security assessments for large-scale projects, ideally in banking or a similarly regulated environment. The ability to manage multiple stakeholders and ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies . Someone with leadership potential, though formal leadership experience is not essential.
