JOB DESCRIPTION We have a new opportunity for a desk based Anti-Social Behaviour and Legal Officer to join our Safe Neighbourhoods and Support Service based in Oldham on a full-time, permanent basis. We are currently working to a hybrid working style. As such, it is a requirement for candidates to be able to work some days from the office. You will manage and investigate a caseload of Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB), legal and fraud cases covering a national geographical area. This will involve early intervention remedies as well as taking legal action, determining tenancy breaches, investigating, and taking action against any tenancy fraud. The successful candidate will work closely with residents and perpetrators of ASB. You will also prepare legal cases which includes drafting effective witness statements and court applications for possession; injunctions; Access etc. You will work closely with our field based Safer Neighbourhoods Officers. The successful candidate will need excellent customer service and communication skills and be able to work well under pressure. Key Responsibilities: To manage a volume of routine/complex cases. To carry out thorough and effective investigations into reports of ASB, Fraud and Tenancy Breaches. To adopt a victim centred approach when investigating ASB. Identify vulnerability at the earliest opportunities. Provide high level of customer service in line with Guinness's Customer Service Standards. Take ownership of allocated cases in accordance with Guinness's policies and procedures. Prepare Court applications, including injunctions and NOSPs to achieve positive outcomes. Liaise with stakeholders and external partner agencies to effectively utilise the tools and powers. Work together with other team members to innovate and deliver right first-time services. Be proactive and responsive to the communities we serve. Skills and Experience Essential: Good knowledge of relevant legislation and current ASB best practice. Good attention to detail, maintaining accurate records within agreed service levels and targets. Displaying excellent case management. Able to prioritise to meet changing demands. Self-motivated with the ability to plan and work effectively within a high level of supervision. Excellent oral and written communications. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office. Able to demonstrate Guinness behavioural competencies. Desirable: Proven experience of working in a social housing. Proven experience of building relationships with external agencies. Experience of compiling witness statements and/or court applications.
