Duties you will be performing: The jobholder will be responsible for the maintenance of fire and security related products in and around the South West region, they will be part of an on-call rota and should have good knowledge of all the relevant standards such as BS 5839-1 and PD 6662 etc. They must be able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team. Main duties: * Undertake service and regular maintenance of Fire, Intruder, CCTV, and Access control systems. * Conduct testing and simulation exercises on fire and security systems to ensure their functionality in case of emergencies. * Respond promptly to emergency calls for systems, ensuring minimum downtime. * Identify and troubleshoot issues with systems and performing repairs or replacements as needed. * Complete daily work sheets and test certificates, ensuring accurate and comprehensive records of all tasks performed. * Provide information to supervisors and managers to facilitate solutions to problems. * Working closely with other engineers, technicians, and construction professionals as part of a team. * Consistently produce work to a high standard. * To ensure that all works are carried out in line with Boden and Client standards, policies and procedures and expectations – completing work in a timely manner. * Ensure that all installed systems comply with relevant UK regulations and standards. * Ensure Company health, safety and environmental procedures are always implemented and complied with Technical experience and qualifications: * Knowledge of relevant standards such as BS 5839-1 and PD 6662 etc. * Experience of both conventional and addressable Fire Alarm and Detection equipment * Have experience of various intruder, CCTV and Access Control equipment The successful candidate will have the following; * A positive attitude towards work, actively contributing to the team effort. * A full valid UK driving license. * Flexibility in working at various sites across the South West region. * Focus, motivation, and enthusiasm. * Strong decision-making and organisational skills.
