The Technical Lead will support the development of complex enterprise scalable software solutions which aim to delight our customers. The position requires working with our product teams and customers to understand end user requirements, define software designs and architectures, and direct development of complex data services and applications. What you will be doing: Partner with product leads to collectively be accountable for prioritizing, scoping, and owning the delivery of regular updates with high quality utilizing all available resources required. Responsibility for working with leadership to balance short term tech choices, architectural approach against Contiem longer term goals. This responsibility is not to be an overall expert, but to work with all our team experts, be a focal point for questions, and bring views together and make the right recommendations/decision. Combining technical skills with leadership abilities - mentoring junior developers, empowering others, allocating the work across the teams/developers, upskilling the teams, looking forward to making sure we have the right skill sets to deliver the roadmap, and being an energizing global leader to the teams. Maintain a strong focus on innovation, scalability, and security as we continue to evolve our technology stack. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, learning, and collaboration within the engineering team Work with the product and design team to make the very complex seem intuitive and easy to use. What we are looking for: Legal right to work in the UK; no sponsorship will be provided. Bachelor's degree. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong leadership and communication skills; experienced at working with globally distributed teams. Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Front end: 3 - 5 years of experience in developing web-based solutions using modern UI frameworks and technologies, such as Angular, ReactJS, NodeJS, HTML, and CSS Backend: 10+ years of experience developing web-based or cloud-based solutions with excellent Java and web services programming skills Familiar with modern cloud-based deployments (i.e. containerization, micro-services) Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools. 5+ years experience in managing technical team members. Demonstrated Technical Leadership skills. Experience with Agile/Lean methods, including Scrum, Kanban, etc. Preferred Skills & Qualifications: Knowledge of the CCMS or content management space Experience using DITA standards is preferred. Knowledgeable in XML content life cycle using XSLT to produce multiple output formats – HTML, PDF, eBook, and RTF. Travel: 10% of the time Work Hours & Location: Full-time, hybrid – Greater London (Surrey), UK, or Bristol, UK.
