Exciting Opportunity: Join Big Easy Restaurants as our Area Chef!
About Big Easy:
Our group of restaurants are continuously growing, with each site having laid-back Texas style home smoked Bar.B.Q cooking, ribs, chicken and brisket with plenty of fresh East Coast lobsters, steaks and more all served up with live music and great bars Seeking a highly motivated, pro-active London based Area Chef to oversee daily operations across all sites, to assist alongside Group Executive Chef, in leading, monitoring, supporting and demonstrating high food standards across all kitchens. Position: Area Chef Responsibilities: Work efficiently alongside Group Executive chef, supporting all sites Fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork around the restaurants Ensure compliance with Food Safety & Health & Safety regulations to the standards of the company, achieving high levels of ratings within the business Quality checks on all foods within each kitchen to comply to consistency across all sites To ensure food presentations, service and systems are adhere to standards by the company Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring highest standards, quality and cleanliness Develop and execute strategic plans to Implement cost reduction within the business Manage stock inventory, food purchasing and cost control measures to optimize efficiency and minimize waste Handle feedback with professionalism and empathy, striving to resolve issues promptly and effectively Analyse financial reports and performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, continuously seeking opportunities for innovation and enhancement Requirements: Previous experience within this role, overseeing multiple sites with a proven track record of success in a high-volume environment in busy kitchens Must have good organizational skills & excellent communication with all senior team Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team Knowledge of food safety regulations and industry standards Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities Enthusiasm for Southern cuisine and culture is a plus!
