Accommodation Support Worker

Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Accommodation Support Worker to join Rochdale Council's Temporary Accommodation Service on an initial 3 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working on a rota basis. The Role: * To welcome people into Temporary accommodation and ensure they receive high levels of support and guidance to become tenancy ready and effectively manage their needs whilst in Temporary Accommodation. Be responsible for the management of the temporary accommodation and ensuring re-let and turnaround time are met when empty. * To support with the delivery of a Temporary Accommodation Delivery, within Rochdale Borough Council and lead on the Safer Homes Scheme, which helps those experiencing domestic abuse to remain in their homes. * To contribute towards the reduction of temporary accommodation admissions by preventing homelessness. * To provide advice and support to assess the needs of all households including customers with complex needs (including alcohol and drug issues and mental health). * Develop a personal housing plan which will include advice on housing support, health services, employment information, and rehabilitation and addiction services and refer to services for floating support and supported accommodation as part of the development of a personal housing plan within desired timescales. Requirements: * Previous experience of working in temporary accommodation, homelessness, housing support or tenancy management. * Experience of dealing directly with service users * Ability to work on a shift pattern including nights * Enhanced DBS Hours: Early Shift - 7am to 3pm Late Shift - 2pm to 10pm Night Shift - 9:30pm to 7:30am Please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible if this role would be of interest to you
