Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Are you ambitious and have the drive to develop a new school opening with great leadership and vision? Simply Education is excited to be working with a brand new SEMH school opening within the Spalding area to recruit an experienced and passionate head teacher. This will be a full-time position and starting in January 2025. As a head teacher in an SEMH provision, you will play a vital role in bringing great leadership with a strong understanding of learners with additional needs who require a tailored and bespoke approach to education. This school is brand new and is registered to have up to 24 students aged 11-18 with class sizes no larger than 6 students. A standard working week within this school would be 37 hours, children are in school full days Monday to Thursday and Friday mornings so Friday afternoons will allow for PPA time. The Ideal Candidate: We are looking for individuals who are committed and experienced in making a positive impact on the lives of students with SEMH needs. The ideal candidate will have: • Previous experience working in SEMH, SEN, or a similar educational setting. • Previous experience in a senior leadership role. • Be able to work in a close partnership with other professionals to provide a holistic package of support, including children living in care and he access of therapeutic support. • A high level of resilience and the ability to manage and support challenging behaviour in a calm and effective manner.
