Red Sky have an excellent opportunity for an experienced HGV Technician to join a well-established and rapidly expanding Automotive company with exciting progression opportunities
HGV Technician
Our client are market leaders within the Automotive Industry
£38,500 – £42,600 Basic DOE + Bonus OTE £59,000 + Overtime
40-hour week Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm
Monday to Friday 6am to 2.30pm and 2.00pm to 10.30pm (30 mins unpaid lunch)
Overtime usually available
Weekends and outside basic hours paid at Overtime Rate x 1.5
Late shift payment paid on lates week - £25 per night (£3,000 per annum)
Additional efficiency bonus up to £6,000 per annum available on reaching target (paid monthly)
Working as part of the Workshops Commercial Technician Team, you will be responsible for completing routine maintenance inspections, servicing, general repairs right up to in-depth diagnosis, gearbox, engine replacements
HGV Technician Skills and Experience:
Level 3 Qualification desired, however, we will consider time served applications over 5 years with proven experience
LGV/HGV/PCV Licence an advantage
Roadside Assistance Training qualification an advantage
Bus and coach experience an advantage
IRTEC accreditation desirable but not essential as we have IRTEC courses available

Technician Main Duties
To carry out servicing and repairs in accordance with manufacturer guidance and current industry standards, ensuring that you utilise the most time efficient, cost-effective and safe method of working.
To interpret work orders: first establish the work agreed, if this is not clear, to communicate with service team to ensure accuracy.
To complete all events requested on works order and report any further defects and deficiencies to the Workshop Controller.
Accurate recording of all work completed and required on job cards whilst following all necessary processes.
Timely completion of service and supporting documentation.
To ensure that all vehicles that are on site to be repaired, are treated with respect and care
To ensure all special tools are returned at the end of use and any breakages or defects are reported immediately to the Workshop Controller. To comply with all statutory requirements, company policies and standard procedures.
