The Team
This role will sit in the Global Market Access team responsible for all product portfolios in the business, reporting into the Global Head of Market Access and working closely with relevant Country Market Access Leaders. The role will sit in the UK with occasional office requirements for important meetings and updates in the Cambridge or London offices.
Role and Responsibilities
The Global Pricing & Tendering Lead is a senior industry-recognized authority who drives Mundipharma's pricing and tendering function. This critical strategic leader shapes Mundipharma's asset strategies and influences the commercial success of its portfolio. The role involves developing and implementing pricing and tendering strategies that reflect the value of Mundipharma's assets, ensuring internal alignment and successful external stakeholder engagement to enable patient access to medicines and commercial success. As a role model, this leader adheres to and promotes Mundipharma's value-based pricing mindset. Other responsibilities of the role include:
Strategic Pricing Leadership: Develop and implement value-based pricing strategies to maximise patient access and commercial success.
Own and manage the global pricing governance processes and set value-based price guidance frameworks.
Lead financial modelling and set appropriate prices for launch and in-line assets.
Tender Management: Oversee Mundipharma's tender management systems and ensure effective training and usage by country teams.
Optimise tendering tools, systems, governance processes, and associated pricing guidance.
Team Coaching and Development: Coach commercial asset teams and country leads on pricing strategy execution and payer value recognition.
Drive the development of functional pricing capabilities for country market access colleagues.
Matrix Leadership and Influence: Lead matrixed global functions, influencing strategy across market access, business development, and marketing teams.
Ensure payer perspectives are integrated into commercial strategy decisions to support successful outcomes.
Thought Leadership and Networking: Serve as an internal and external thought leader in pricing, contributing to publications, conference presentations, and strategic discussions.
Build networks and relationships with HTA, payers, health economic and clinical opinion leaders, and industry peers.
What you'll bring Strong background in Pricing and Tendering
Profound understanding of global healthcare pricing principles, financial modelling, and the decision-making processes of governments worldwide.
Bachelor's Degree within Science, Pharmacy, Finance, Business Economics, Health Economics or equivalent would be ideal
MSc degree on relevant scientific discipline would be ideal
Good understanding of global organisations
In-depth knowledge of global reimbursement processes and a strong understanding of HTA principles in key markets
Exceptional analytical skills, strategic planning abilities, and an innovative mindset, capable of integrating factual and strategic factors into decision-making.
