Our client is a well-established global service provider to the Freight forwarding, express and international parcels, warehousing and logistics industry
We are now recruiting for an X-Ray Screener based in Slough you will be responsible for using an x-ray machine to conduct screening and security checks for prohibited items of cargo to be transported by air.

Duties and Responsibilities:
X-Ray screening parcels ready for export.
Conduct screening and security checks for prohibited items of cargo to be transported by air, in line with training and CAA regulations.
Recording and escalating any issues or concerns.
Pallet screening.
Maintain focus and awareness within a busy environment.
Tolerate moderate to loud level of noise in work environment.
Utilise knowledge of airline codes, prefixes, common cargo abbreviations.
Follow instructions from supervisor or lead screener.
Assisting in general warehouse duties.

Essential Requirements:

5-year employment history in the UK - must be verifiable.
Clear Criminal Record Check (Basic DBS Check).
NXCT. - Experience in screening freight cargo is essential
Cargo Operative Screening - COS.
FLT licence is desirable
Right to live and work in the UK.

Skills, Competencies & Attributes:

Ability to multi-task and prioritise and a proactive approach.
Must be physically fit due to Manual Handling.
English proficiency (e.g., reading, writing, speaking, listening).
Excellent visual observation and identification ability.
Interpersonal skills - Must be able to communicate efficiently.
Previous experience in a time-sensitive environment is desirable.
Competent literacy, numeracy and IT skills.
Flexible attitude to working hours, work activities.

Salary:

Salary: Up to 29,000 dependent on experience.
Monday to Friday - 2pm - 11pm
