Head of Warehouse & Transport

Job Title: Head of Warehouse & Transport Location: West Yorkshire Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 (DOE) An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Warehouse & Transport to join a leading FMCG manufacturing business based in West Yorkshire. This role will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of warehouse operations and transport functions, as well as driving key projects to enhance efficiency and growth. Key Responsibilities of a Head of Warehouse & Transport: Manage the daily warehouse and transport operations to ensure smooth and efficient workflows Lead and execute ongoing and new projects aimed at improving logistics, inventory management, and transport processes Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize warehouse performance and reduce costs Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality standards, and regulatory requirements across the department Develop and mentor the warehouse and transport teams to achieve operational excellence Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless supply chain management Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement action plans for improvement Key Requirements of a Head of Warehouse and Transport: Proven experience in a senior warehouse and transport management role within an FMCG or manufacturing environment Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage large teams and complex projects Excellent understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and transport logistics A strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally A track record of driving process improvements and achieving operational targets This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and experienced individual looking to make a significant impact within a fast-paced and growing business.
