Who You Are You possess substantial experience in a fleet or workshop environment. You have proven skills in managing and maintaining fleet/workshop databases. You are adept at developing quality systems to efficiently support internal and external customers. You have experience in a commercial vehicle setting. You are skilled in dealing with and monitoring external suppliers. You are proficient in using IT systems, particularly in a workshop context. You demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changing environments to meet customer needs. You communicate effectively with internal customers. (Desirable) Experience with TRANMAN fleet management software or similar is an advantage. What the Job Involves Collaborating with the Fleet Operations Manager and workshop supervisor to ensure high-quality fleet repairs for the Council’s vehicles and equipment. Liaising with internal customers to arrange Service Level Agreement meetings, setting and monitoring service standards. Ensuring all Council vehicle and equipment assets are accurately recorded in the database. Acting as the first point of contact for queries from workshop suppliers and for service queries. Completing scheduling for vehicles and equipment, ensuring timely notifications for inspections, services, and MOT appointments to internal customers. Liaising with external service providers to align MOTs with service bookings in the fleet workshop. Managing SLA agreements with customers and suppliers, and assisting in internal and external audits. Reporting on vehicle maintenance costs, availability, and ensuring regulatory compliance for inspections and tests. Monitoring and collaborating with suppliers for timely and correct delivery of parts. Contributing to the fleet and workshop business continuity plan and supporting the Fleet Operations Manager. Addressing customer and supplier concerns according to the Council's corporate policies. Participating in training and development activities for personal and job-related growth.
