We are looking to fill the position of Guest Services Manager to join our new team. As a Guest Service Manager, you will support the Front Office Manager in the daily tasks, and manage the front desk team. You must be an enthusiastic and proactive individual who enjoys varied responsibilities with a positive approach to leading from the front and getting the best from our teams. The individual must have an eye for detail, be self-motivated, and be driven to deliver a warm and welcoming guest experience for our guests and exceed their expectations.The successful candidate must be flexible and adaptable to assume responsibilities and demonstrate excellent leadership, and communication skills both verbal and written. The essential functions of this role are to: Ensure that all services in the front office are available and carried out with the utmost efficiency and courtesy. Attend the daily operations meeting in the absence of the Front Office Manager. Ensure hotel walk-around is carried out with the checklist and highlighted at the daily operations meeting. Follow-up on any action points required to ensure all areas of concern have been concluded. Continuously inspect hotel areas to ensure both the cleanliness and comfort of the hotel's guests are maintained and that standards of amenities and touches are provided in rooms and public areas. Lead and support other team members by taking a "hands-on approach" during our busy periods and rest periods are adequately covered. Demonstrate proper and safe usage of all equipment. Adherence to the hotel's cash handling procedures. Support the Front Office Manager to achieve financial targets, Dorsett Your Rewards programme etc. by coaching and motivating the use of incentives and other guest-focused programs. The hotel will accommodate front-of-house facilities including a cafe on Alpha Square, a restaurant, a gym and conference facility at the lower levels and a sky bar/terrace on level 20. Specialist retail at thelower ground floor level will provide additional animation to the public realm. Situated just six miles downstream from Central London, the hotel is within a10-minute walk of Canary Wharf Underground Station and a5-minute walk to Heron Quay and South Quay DLR stations. The hotel will also be well connected to the local bus network and withinwalking distance to river boat services operating from Canary Wharf pier to Central London. London City Airport is less than 3 miles east of Canary Wharf and with the opening of the Elizabeth Line (Crossrail), within 15 minutes walk, connections to Heathrow Airport, the City West End, andThames Gateway will be significantly enhanced.
