Job Title : Infrastructure Design Consultant Type : Permanent Start Date : ASAP Location : London, Liverpool Street Salary : £55,000 - £75,000 Depending on experience Overview of the Role As an Infrastructure Design Consultant, you will focus on ICT Infrastructure fit-out projects, leading client engagements and ensuring projects align with the RIBA project framework. The role offers a dynamic opportunity for individuals with technical expertise and excellent communication skills, experienced in managing build and fit-out projects. You'll be responsible for identifying and solving project challenges efficiently while maintaining a high standard of technical compliance. Responsibilities Lead the development of designs, reports, specifications, budgets, and equipment schedules in line with RIBA Stages Own the design process throughout the project lifecycle Ensure adherence to industry, technical, regional, and regulatory standards in all designs Conduct formal presentations during presales stages and project phases to design teams and clients Manage commissioning, witness testing, snagging, and reporting Prepare design documentation and technical specifications Collaborate with the Production Department on technical drawings, schematics, and design details Work on projects remotely across the UK and EMEA, with site visits as required Interface with multiple stakeholders, including clients, partners, and project teams throughout EMEA Required Skills & Experience In-depth knowledge of Low Voltage Systems, including: Copper and Fibre cable media 10GB/40GB/100GB connectivity Cable testing and IT equipment room design Containment and cabinetry Telecoms provider services Familiarity with technologies interfacing with Low Voltage Systems: LAN/WAN Wireless Networks Audio Visual and Security systems 3-5 years of experience in a similar role Industry-related qualifications (e.g., BICSI RCDD) Experience producing coordinated Low Voltage design stage drawings, procurement documents, and construction issue designs (AutoCAD & Revit handled by the production team) Strong understanding of IT equipment rooms and/or data centre design and construction Ability to plan and manage complex projects, handling multiple concurrent tasks Attributes Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills Attention to detail and a diligent approach to quality management Proficiency in reading and interpreting floor plans, technical drawings, and specifications Ability to work collaboratively and lead teams Experience with online project and resource management tools Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Visio, and Bluebeam AutoCAD skills are a plus but not essential Willingness to travel throughout EMEA for site visits and client meetings
