An all-day family-friendly dining and drinks destination that specialises in fresh Mediterranean cuisine and artisanal sourdough pizzas in the scenic Berkshire countrysideFind out more about The Boxford by visiting our website: https://theboxford.com/Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced and passionate Sous Chef, The Sous Chef will support our talented Head Chef in the running and development of the team in training, Health and safety and Menus.About the Sous Chef role:Reporting directly with the Head Chef and deputising in their absenceWorking with the Head Chef to develop new menu ideas and ways to improve our offeringEnsuring the food quality is at its highest standard at all timesEnsure the performance of the chef team is of the highest standard by motivating and leading by exampleOverseeing stock levels and making key decisions about stock control in conjunction with the Head ChefEnsure all food safety and health and safety procedures are maintained to the highest standardHours per week: 45QualificationsProven experience as a CDP, senior CDP or Sous Chef.Proficiency in diverse cooking techniques and cuisinesLeaving Cert level education or aboveNVQ qualification or equivalentAbility to display a real passion for food and customer serviceFlair and innovative with menus and food presentationExcellent communication and teamwork skillsExceptional attention to detailAdditional InformationWSH Restaurants has built a family-feel culture where we offer development and progression for all.
