TRAINEE ENGINEER - NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED! Our client is seeking a Trainee Engineer to join their Water Operations division, working on the Thames Water contract, covering Oxford and surrounding areas. As a Trainee Engineer, you will be responsible for capturing data and managing data logging equipment on our client’s water distribution network to assist with leakage detection activities. This is a permanent, full-time position (40 hours per week) with competitive pay, including the real living wage. What You’ll Be Doing * Assisting with the collection of data for leakage reporting and expanding our portfolio of data loggers. * Fitting, upgrading, and collecting data loggers on water networks. * Analysing leakage District Metered Areas (DMA) and control zones, identifying assets suitable for logger deployment. * Studying mapping and understanding water distribution networks. * Maintaining deployed equipment to ensure maximum network availability. * Planning efficient routes and having good geographical knowledge of the Basingstoke region. Who We’re Looking For * A responsible, Health & Safety-focused approach. * Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and achieve daily targets. * Ability to read plans and schematics. * A full UK driving license is required.
