Assistant Financial Controller
NW London
Working for a group of (Small) Companies all involved in Property Development & Management. The current portfolio consists of Hospitality (Accommodation), Residential, Student and Commercial buildings.
Are you an analytical thinker with a passion for finance and a desire to grow in your career? We are looking for an Assistant Financial Controller to join our small team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable & nominal ledger
- Prepare and submit VAT returns
- Prepare monthly Management Accounts
- Work alongside the Operations Team to ensure that they can focus on generating income and business development
- Payroll
- Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts.
You will be reporting to the Financial Controller who has worked for us for over 15 years but now wants to step back and, eventually, hand over all his responsibilities to someone new. If you do not have experience in any of the above, you will be trained so you must be keen to learn and develop new skills.
The Ideal Candidate will be:
- Highly analytical and very organized.
- Have Excellent communication skills, capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
- Be Part qualified in finance/accounting, with a strong motivation to advance in their professional qualifications
- Be IT Savey and keen to adopt new technologies to improve efficiency
- Will Embraces change and be always on the lookout for ways to improve themselves and the way we do things
- Experience with QuickBooks is a plus.
- Eager to progress rapidly in the profession.
