Good Afternoon, I am currently representing Merton Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3-6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate of £33.40 which is negotiable dependent upon experience We are looking for a Team Manager (Learning Disabilities Team) this role will be: CR4 4TP (Hybrid) The right candidate will: * The Team Manager is responsible for the operational leadership and management of the health and social care team working with People with a Learning Disability and their carers. This includes the commissioning, assessment, planning and the provision of health and social care services. * The Team Manager will also be responsible for the staffing budget and Personal Budget expenditure pertaining to the team’s activity, and for the performance of the team overall. * Provide strong leadership and management of the team, enabling members to embrace and move forward with changes in a positive, enthusiastic, and effective way. * To chair case conferences and multi-agency meetings as required and represent the department at seminars, relevant inter-disciplinary and strategic meetings. * To be responsible for the maintenance of high standards of work within the service through the monitoring of performance in relation to all aspects of service delivery including file recording, auditing, workload distribution, staffing and direct provision. * To contribute to the budget preparation process as required. * To ensure that budgetary control procedures are carried out in relation to expenditure and income such that approved estimates are not exceeded and that limits on delegated power to authorise expenditure are adhered to. We require the following: * Professional Health or Social Work Qualification and a valid registration with the relevant professional body. * Educated to degree level of above * Willingness to undertake further appropriate training. * Possession of a full driving license and use of a car. * An advanced knowledge and understanding of current and impending legislation and statutory guidance relating to social care and health provision. * A good knowledge and understanding of the psychological, physical, social and emotional needs of adults with a Learning Disability and or Autism. * A good knowledge and understanding of the roles of and services provided by statutory and voluntary agencies.
