Pre-Construction Senior Quantity Surveyor

Our client is a Major Contractor who now have a pipeline of projects within central Scotland over the next 4-6 years. The projects include Commercial Building and mixed use Commercial / Public Sector Schemes which have been designed by an experienced Design team of Architects and Engineers. To support the existing Commercial management team, they now require an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with a Main Contracting background to support the Pre- contract bidding phase of a range of projects in central Scotland ranging from £5M to £20M. The role will have a particular focus on the pre-construction tendering and bid development aspects of projects although there will be opportunity to have involvement in post contract delivery of schemes. The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor candidate will have the following experience and abilities:- Minimum of 10 years with a commercial Contracting environment in a Senior Commercial role Degree Qualified or equivalent Experience of Commercial Design and Build Schemes desireable Experience of a range of Contractual forms and agreements Ability to relate well to internal colleagues and external clients Network amongst the East Coast Design Team Supply Chain would be of interest. Commercial awareness to minimise risk to margin Experience of JCT and NEC Forms of contract The ability to manage works packages on project upwards of circa £5M The role will be on a permanent position with significant opportunity for career development within this dynamic organisation.
