Plumbing and Heating Manager

Role: Plumbing and Heating Manager Sector: Plumbing / Heating / Bathroom Sales / Builders Merchants Location: Pickering Area Salary: The basic is dependant on experience, there is a bonus package too We currently have an excellent opportunity for a candidate to join a great company and become an integral part of their plumbing, heating and bathroom side of the business. The successful candidate will run the trade counter for this department. It should be noted there is a bathroom showroom on site as well. You will have back up all the way whenever required but it would be good to find someone who will treat the plumbing and heating side of the business as if it was their own, making sure all is well and ensuring that sterling levels of customer service are maintained at all times. This company likes to have the right talent on board. You'll need to be a 'people person'. Bear in mind therefore that you'll be working in a great team environment full of other like-minded individuals. The other requirements for this role are some level of plumbing and heating knowledge so you can hit the ground running to some degree. Management or supervisory experience would be great, but it's not essential, and if you can demonstrate the ability to learn these skills then that will do just fine. This is a business that prides itself on good customer service and remember you only get one chance to make a good first impression. Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach are both absolutely necessary alongside good communications skills too. You will deal with both trade and retail customers so you must be able to demonstrate that you are good with people from all walks of life You will interact with customers over the phone, by email and face to face. Asking questions, finding about the projects the clients are working on, taking quotation enquiries, developing rapport with these people and upselling where possible. You will need to be able to think on your feet and ideally demonstrate sound knowledge when called upon. They need someone who's proactive and who actually wants their customers to leave satisfied.
