English Teacher - Manchester - Full time - January start Prospero Teaching are seeking a qualified, passionate and enthusiastic English Teacher to work at a popular, high achieving secondary school in Manchester to join them on a full time basis from after the Christmas break in January for 2 terms for the remainder of the academic year, the role could then become permanent to start in the next academic year. This role is a full time position and is open to ECTs as well as more experienced teachers of English, all applicants are required to hold QTS. The successful candidate will need to fully immerse themselves immediately in the school and department and assist in planing and preparing lessons, attend departmental meetings & parents evenings when necessary. You will also need to be able to provide exceptional support to students, demonstrate good behaviour and classroom assistance/management. CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS Location Manchester Position English Teacher Start date January 2025 End date - July 2025 - will then possibly become permanent Full time Minimum rate of pay £162.31 Hours 8:15AM 4PM EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS QTS, QTLS, PGCE, or equivalent Previous experience teaching in a UK school Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, however training can be provided) Up to date prevent awareness& FGM training issued in the last 3 years (essential, however, training can be provided) Up to date behaviour management training (essential, however, training can be provided) English Teaching experience in a UK secondary school is desirable TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to obtain a new one Provide two professional references If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with a copy of your up to date CV today.
