Our client is seeking a highly motivated, career-focused individual to join their team based in Belfast. This role offers a unique opportunity to work within the commercial, technical, and New Product Development (NPD) team, acting as a key technical contact for major UK supermarket accounts. The position involves managing customer communications on food safety, quality, and compliance with brand standards and technical specifications. Key Responsibilities: Technical Point of Contact: Act as the primary liaison between the customer technical teams and internal departments, ensuring food safety, quality, and legal standards are met across all products and projects. Product Specification Management: Maintain and manage product specifications, Quality Attribute Sheets, and raw material standards to align with customer requirements. Cross-Functional Coordination: Work alongside commercial and NPD teams to drive customer account development and support project delivery. Quality Assurance and Compliance: Conduct product checks and inspections, ensuring adherence to customer specifications. Address any issues with swift corrective actions. Label and Artwork Review: Verify product labels for accuracy, compliance, and alignment with customer and operational standards before product launches. Data and KPI Management: Manage key customer data, tracking KPIs such as complaints and performance metrics, and support complaint reduction initiatives. Allergen and Risk Management: Participate in the sites Allergen Management Programme to ensure compliance with customer and legal requirements. Customer Engagement: Assist in product presentations, update retail price lists, and participate in customer product launches and reviews. Essential Requirements: Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a technical customer-facing role within the food manufacturing sector. Education: HND or equivalent qualification in food science, food technology, or a similar field. Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the FMCG supply chain, quality assurance, and experience with UK retailers, particularly within red meat. Technical Skills: Experience with HACCP, allergen management systems, and food labeling. Other Skills: Excellent communication skills, ability to meet strict deadlines, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Mobility: Full driving license and flexibility to travel to customer meetings and other sites across the UK and Ireland.
