Air Quality Consultant

Our Client, a large, international consulting business with multidisciplinary expertise across a diverse range of environmental engineering fields and offices spanning the UK and overseas currently has a requirement for an Air Quality Consultant to join their office in London. This is an exciting opportunity for a relatively inexperienced Air Quality Consultant to rapidly develop their skills and experience within a well developed team. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of major projects in the power, mining, transportation, waste management, and development sectors in the UK and overseas. You must be able to travel, as site based work will be required in the UK and there may be opportunities for short trips overseas to support some projects. A full UK driving license is essential Qualifications: Qualified to BEng/BSc level or equivalent Ideally Associate member of the Institute of Air Quality Management Experience Ideally demonstrable experience in an Air Quality consultancy role Knowledge of air quality legislation Highly developed report writing skills Self-motivated Possess good written and oral communication skills Good working knowledge of ADMS, ADMS Roads and/of Aermod would be advantageous Ideally previous project management experience competence with standard office software such as Microsoft Word and Excel is essential A working knowledge of GIS software, especially Arc GIS would be useful competent in handling air quality related datasets (experience of measurement, instrumentation and analytical techniques) would be advantageous Duties Undertaking Air Quality Impact Assessments Dispersion Modelling Monitoring programmes Liaising with Local Authorities and Clients Writing reports/chapters for Environmental Statements Commercial/QA management of small projects Projects Power Mining Transportation Waste Management Benefits Excellent Salary Contributory Pension Life assurance Health Insurance Private Health Insurance Flexible Holidays Childcare Vouchers Bicycle Scheme The role offers good opportunities for promotion within the Air Quality team, depending on performance, and there are also future opportunities for multi-disciplinary project management roles.
