CNC Machinist Description This is a great opportunity for an experienced CNC Machinist looking to work for a company in which they will be involved in manufacturing a wide variety of parts. You will be responsible for operating assigned 3 and 5-Axis mill machines, wire EDM machines, as well as operating various inspection equipment, to support the manufacturing needs of the company. We are leading the way in producing quality 3D printed parts and are AS9100, ISO9002 and ISO13485 certified. Main duties and responsibilities Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines. Build up CNC tools. Weekly calibration of tools and machinery. Load in CNC programs, read/follow operating instructions, perform in-process inspection. Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc. Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result. Inspect and measure finished products using specific measuring equipment and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly. Perform preventative maintenance checks on the machine. Finish parts keeping within quality requirements using hand tools to sand/smooth part edges. Work to our quality standards AS9100, ISO9001 and ISO13485 and as required fill in process sheets, NCRS, job cards information. Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality. The above list is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities and duties. The candidate will be trained in EDM and from time to time the employee may be required take on other duties. Essential Requirements 3+ years' experience in CNC Milling Machining. Experience of operating in a busy workshop environment. Knowledge of Health and Safety Procedures. Ability to work under minimal supervision.
