We are looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs at a highly regarded, Ofsted-rated "Outstanding" primary school in Redbridge. With its warm, welcoming atmosphere and well-resourced facilities, this role offers an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners. As an SEN TA, you’ll be working closely with children in Key Stages 1 and 2 who have SEMH needs. You will be an essential part of their learning journey, providing targeted support, building positive relationships, and helping them to develop social skills, self-confidence, and resilience. Your role will involve working both one-on-one and in small groups to deliver tailored interventions, helping each child to access the curriculum and succeed in a safe and supportive environment.

Application Requirements:

• Has experience working with children with SEMH needs, particularly in a primary school setting. • Demonstrates a calm, patient, and nurturing approach to supporting children. • Can effectively implement individualized support plans. • Has excellent communication and teamwork skills. • Holds a relevant qualification or has proven experience in a similar role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students with SEMH needs in both Key Stages 1 and 2. • Assist teachers in creating an inclusive classroom environment. • Build and maintain positive relationships with students, encouraging their personal and social development. • Implement individualised support and behaviour management strategies. • Monitor and report on student progress, contributing to their learning plans.
