Owen Mumford are looking to hire an enthusiastic Business Development Manager! Could this be your next role? Scope: As the Business Development Manager you will be responsible for the sales activities for both Owen Mumfords platform injectable drug delivery devices and services and customized and bespoke products, working closely with General Manager and the Pharma Services team to ensure that all relevant sales and marketing activities are achieved within budget and rapid sales expansion is delivered. Additionally you will aid the development of key International Pharmaceutical Accounts to ensure Owen Mumford can establish a partnership approach with key global players to secure long term business growth for the organisation. Key Responsibilities: Sell both the Owen Mumford platform product portfolio and development and commercialization of customized and bespoke products and recommend the best method to service each potential customer Develop and execute a sales strategy including building a list of key accounts and targets for new or increased business internationally with a focus on long term growth Ensure good and regular communication across relevant Owen Mumford Divisions to present a joined-up approach to the customer. Play a senior level role in developing senior level relationships in these accounts to enable the company to maximise growth Ensure familiarity with regulatory requirements in all designated markets. Maintain and develop the business dashboard detailing target markets and major activities Assist the General Manager in the preparation of the annual business plan. Keep fully updated with market intelligence of the Pharma Services market and advise on where new development efforts might be concentrated. Coordinate negotiations for the creation or modification of Development, Supply and other agreements as required and in conjunction with OM, the customer and legal advisers. Take charge of all new enquiries and ensure that requests for information, literature and quotations are handled efficiently, working closely with the account managers where new business is with existing customers. To be successful in this role, you will need: Senior experience of managing overseas Pharma companies and key accounts dealing with all departments. Medical device experience essential. Relevant experience in selling and leading negotiations in different countries and an appreciation for different structures and approach to pharmaceutical companies. Experience in negotiating contracts at senior levels. Experience in setting budgets/ sales targets Familiar with regulations for selling overseas as well as regulations linked to the healthcare sector/ devices. An understanding of the medical device market, with recent and relevant experience in the industry. Experience in at least one of the following disciplines, Sales, Design or Manufacturing of medical devices.
