Site Manager – Social Housing £40,000 - £45,000 + Van /Allowance Newcastle To Start January 2025 A highly sought-after opportunity to work with a well-established and accredited Newcastle based contractor. The first project you would be working on is a 10-month social housing scheme building 10 bungalows and 14 2-3 bed houses. Work has already commenced on muck clearing and groundworks and they are looking to take the successful candidate on from the beginning of January 2025. The successful candidate will have an assistant site manager; 4 or 5 in house workers and up to 15 subcontractors working underneath them. The Duties * ⁠Leading and supervising a team of tradespeople. * Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations * Competently read and understand drawings and designs. * Coordinate and communicate effectively with project manager, clients and colleagues. * Collaborate with team members to overcome any issues that arise on site. * Manage and oversee all aspects of construction projects, ensuring the are completed on time and to the highest standards. * Manage on site deliveries. The Requirements * Experience working on Social Housing Scheme * Full understanding of the construction process from start to finish, read and interpret drawings, building regulations and health and safety procedures. * SSSTS or SMSTS ticket is required. * Valid CSCS card * Strong leadership and communication skills * Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadline
