We are seeking a Global Environmental Sustainability Manager to join a newly established, industry-leading global law firm. Reporting to the Senior Environmental Sustainability Manager, this role is a critical part of the Sustainability Team, with a focus on decarbonisation, biodiversity, and nature-related initiatives. The position involves supporting both colleagues and the wider business, while taking ownership of various environmental programmes. A proactive, self-motivated attitude is essential, along with the ability to engage stakeholders and seamlessly integrate new sustainability initiatives into the firm's daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate global environmental activities, including data collection, and support global impact reporting.
- Lead or support the rollout of global biodiversity and nature-related initiatives.
- Support and manage aspects of the Responsible Supply Chain programme.
- Redesign and manage the global Green Champions network, including communications and project reporting.
- Contribute to annual environmental disclosure projects (CSRD, CDP).
- Provide sustainability support in real estate and operational initiatives.
- Respond to client queries and participate in tenders, client audits, and relationships.
- Manage new starter inductions and represent the Sustainability Team as required.
- Drive new ideas and initiatives in collaboration with the Sustainability Team.
- Offer support to team members as needed.
Key Requirements:
- Experience in a managerial environmental role.
- Expertise in managing sustainability data and systems.
- Strong drive for results with a focus on performance management and metrics.
- Excellent communication and engagement skills at all levels.
- Deep understanding of environmental sustainability, legal, and statutory frameworks.
- Knowledge of biodiversity and nature-related frameworks.
- Full/working towards Full Membership of IEMA or similar qualification is advantageous.
