Commercial Assistant

Page Personnel are recruiting for a Commercial Assistant on behalf of one of Europe's leading service manufacturers. The purpose of this role is to support the day to day information across a portfolio of suppliers and customers spanning multiple services in the UK and EU. Description Commercial Assistant duties will include: Support planning with raw material management Liaise with both Customers and suppliers Manage customer and supplier amendment Record keeping of customer and supplier service records Support in the management of transport Provide swift responses to general financial administrative queries. Utilise knowledge of basic accounting principles. Verification of supplier charges and invoices to ensure accuracy. Undertake biannual review and reconciliation of outside service charges. Provide analytical assistance to the commercial consultant to aid commercial negotiations with suppliers. Maintain department database consistently and accurately. Support with capital investment administration as required. Provide other ad hoc support as may be required by the commercial consultant. Interdepartmental communicationProfile The successful candidate will: Have a proven track record in a similar role Be highly numerate with a good understanding of basic accounting principles Be proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, Outlook and Word Have strong analytical skills Knowledge of working within an FMCG business would be beneficial Be an excellent written and verbal communicatorJob Offer A salary up to £30,000, hybrid working, pension, on site parking & more
