We are excited to be working with a well-respected and innovative design consultancy specializing in Building Services as they grow their engineering team in the South West. Our client is currently seeking a Graduate or Junior Mechanical Design Engineer with a background in Building Services design to join their dynamic team.
Required to be possessing relevant degrees, however open to discussions with those holding equivalent M&E construction experience, authority, and varying qualifications or experience in M&E design.

• Established 70+ years ago, our client is a renowned and decorated Design Consultancy working nationally. Specialising in all aspects of M&E, Public Health & Sustainable Design services.

Daily Duties of a Mechanical Design Engineer:

• Collaborating with senior engineers and directors to deliver design projects
• Supporting the production of design deliverables, including drawings, specifications, and reports
• Assisting in design calculations and preparing detailed drawings that meet compliance and quality standards
• Participating in client meetings and presentations, gaining valuable client-facing experience
• Learning and developing proficiency in industry-standard design software such as IES, Revit, and Hevacomp

What you ll need to succeed as a Mechanical Design Engineer:

• A relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field
• Interest or experience in Building Services design, with a strong desire to grow in this area
• Familiarity with design software such as IES, Revit, or Hevacomp is beneficial but not essential training will be provided
• A proactive approach to learning and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams
