Jackson Hogg have partnered up with a leader in maritime logistics, providing reliable and innovative solutions for vessel operations. We are seeking an experienced Vessel Operations Planner to join our team and help coordinate and optimise vessel activities, surveying, maintenance planning, and crew resourcing.
Role Overview
The Vessel Operations Planner will oversee vessel movements, activity planning, surveying and resource allocation to ensure smooth operations and maintain high standards in safety and customer satisfaction. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with both onshore and vessel teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and Coordinate Vessel Activities: Manage vessel schedules, coordinate movements, and organise surveys to ensure operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
* Coordinate Engineering and Maintenance Work: Plan maintenance activities in alignment with operational needs, working closely with engineering teams.
* Material and Resource Allocation: Ensure that engineering and maintenance teams have the required tools, parts, and materials to carry out maintenance tasks effectively.
* Crew Resourcing: Manage crew allocation and resource planning to maintain adequate staffing for all vessel activities.
* Operational and Safety Support: Act as a primary point of contact for vessel crews, providing support on operational, safety, and customer-related issues.
* Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with internal departments, customers, and regulatory bodies to maintain alignment and transparency across operations.
Requirements
* Proven experience in vessel operations planning or a similar role within the maritime or logistics industry.
* Strong knowledge of maritime regulations, safety protocols, and operational standards.
* Ability to plan and execute complex schedules, with a focus on operational efficiency and safety.
* Excellent communication skills, able to coordinate with diverse teams and manage multiple priorities.
* Proficiency with planning software, Microsoft Office Suite, and relevant maritime systems.
