Position: Software Technical Lead Travel Requirements: Up to 4 days per week Security Clearance: Candidates must have Developed Vetting – UKIC to be considered for this role. About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Software Technical Lead to join a prestigious team delivering cutting-edge technology solutions within a highly sensitive National Intelligence environment. You will contribute to transforming critical public sector services, solving complex challenges for the UK Government by developing modern, cloud-ready applications that prioritize end-user value. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and maintenance of secure web applications using object-oriented programming languages such as Java, TypeScript, or C#. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features that align with the mission-critical needs of the National Intelligence sector. Drive and participate in agile software development practices, ensuring delivery excellence and continuous improvement in a high-stakes environment. Provide leadership and mentorship to developers, fostering innovation while maintaining the highest security and performance standards. Ensure successful delivery of projects on time and in line with strategic objectives. What You’ll Bring: You will have proven coding experience in Java, TypeScript, or C# within complex technical environments. Possess a familiarity with front-end web technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks such as React. In-depth knowledge of agile development methodologies and a demonstrated ability to lead teams in delivering secure, scalable solutions. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage challenges in highly sensitive and secure settings. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse technical teams and stakeholders. Availability to work in the office at least three days a week, with flexibility to accommodate project demands.
