Summary As the Head of IT, you will play a crucial role in shaping the technological landscape of our organisation. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive IT strategy that aligns with our business goals and supports our commitment to innovation and excellence. This role requires a forward-thinker who can effectively manage both the operational and strategic aspects of IT, ensuring that our technology infrastructure meets the evolving needs of the business. You will oversee a diverse range of functions, including networking, cybersecurity, system implementation, and office management technologies. By fostering a culture of collaboration, you will drive the successful execution of projects that enhance productivity, security, and overall business performance. The Role Strategic IT Leadership: Develop and execute an IT strategy that reflects our commitment to excellence, driving business performance and operational efficiency. Innovation in Technology: Lead the way in identifying and implementing technology solutions that empower our teams, enhancing their productivity and ability to deliver results for our clients. This includes staying ahead of trends and ensuring our technology is future-proof. Integrity in Cybersecurity: Establish robust cybersecurity frameworks that safeguard data across multiple countries, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR) and upholding the integrity of our systems and services. Sustainability in IT Infrastructure: Implement scalable and sustainable IT infrastructure solutions that reduce environmental impact while meeting the needs of our distributed teams across Europe. You will champion technologies and processes that support commitment to being a carbon-neutral business. Inclusivity and Collaboration in Leadership: Foster an inclusive IT environment where team members across different locations and backgrounds are empowered to contribute. Promote a culture of collaboration across departments and countries to ensure technology solutions meet the diverse needs of our clients and employees. Mobility Solutions: Oversee the deployment of mobile technologies, remote access tools, and cloud services that enable our field teams to work effectively from any location, ensuring collaboration and excellence in every task. Data Integration and Analytics: Ensure seamless integration of data systems used by field teams, clients, and headquarters, enabling real-time access to information and supporting excellence in decision-making through accurate reporting. Vendor and Partner Management: Build and maintain relationships with technology vendors and partners across Europe, ensuring optimal service delivery. Project Management: Oversee the delivery of complex IT projects across multiple countries, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. IT Governance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with data protection laws and regulatory requirements in each market, maintaining the integrity of our operations and minimising risk. Facilities Management Oversight: Ensure the effective management of IT infrastructure plus other business needs within office environments, including telecommunication systems, video conferencing, and collaboration tools, to support a productive and technologically equipped workspace. Requirements 5+ years experience in a similar IT operations role Proven experience in IT management or a similar leadership role. Strong understanding of current and emerging technologies and their application in a business context. Experience with budgeting and financial management in IT. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organisation. Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards.
