SEN Teaching Assistant

Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Thornton Heath, CR7 | Pay: £95 - £105 per day | Contract: Temp to Perm | Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM We are looking for a compassionate and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our primary school in Thornton Heath. This is a great opportunity to provide dedicated support to students with special educational needs, helping them to achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and group support to pupils with special educational needs, ensuring tailored learning strategies are in place. Assist teachers in adapting lessons and activities to meet the diverse needs of SEN pupils. Support pupils with social, communication, and behavioural challenges, fostering a positive and structured environment. Help with the preparation and organisation of classroom materials, ensuring accessibility for all students. Supervise students during lessons, playtime, and school outings, ensuring their safety and wellbeing. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to monitor and support pupil progress. Assist with any personal care needs, including mobility support, where required.Qualifications and Experience: Experience working with children with special educational needs in a school setting is desirable. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a patient and empathetic approach to supporting children. A commitment to promoting inclusion and encouraging positive development in all pupils.
