Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) Location: Tameside - Hyde School: Mainstream Secondary School - Tameside - Hyde Position: Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant Contract Type: Full-Time Long-Term Salary: Competitive, based on experience Aspire People is seeking a compassionate and motivated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated SEN support team at a mainstream secondary school. The ideal candidate will work closely with one or more students with a variety of special educational needs, providing tailored support to enhance their learning experience in the classroom. The dedicated team promotes a culture of respect and empowerment, ensuring every student has the opportunity to thrive both academically and socially. Key Responsibilities: * Support students with diverse learning needs in classroom settings. * Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment. * Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies (where necessary) to ensure the best outcomes for students. * Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to the teaching/SEN team. Qualifications and Skills: * Previous experience supporting pupils with learning needs is essential. * Must have a DBS on the Update Service - or we can apply for one for you. * A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) is desirable but not essential. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed. * Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
