Our growing International Publicity team is looking for a passionate, driven Junior Account Executive to join DDA. Though you will be holding an entry level position, your work will be instrumental in the development and execution of PR plans and strategies. If you are well-organised, confident and an excellent communicator, we'd like to meet you.
As a Junior Account Executive, you'll be supporting the international team and will report into the Director, International Publicity. You should be a self-starter and have the ability to support and assist the team as directed in all aspects of client servicing and events, as well as in the management of clients for a portfolio of accounts. With the help of senior team members, you will build strong relationships with press and clients and strive to achieve the best possible outcomes through your own work and the team you support.
Responsibilities
Delivery
- Create and maintain high quality and detailed databases/media/distributor nominations lists
- Help pull together presentations and provide research support for clients
- Provide timely and accurate coverage / publicity reports
- Respond quickly and effectively to requests from senior staff
- Assist in the DDA festival press office (virtual and/or in person) with the support of other members of the international team and help pull together press schedules
- Pitch and secure press coverage for clients at festivals
- Assist with providing screening reactions as required
- Help to report back with wrap & coverage
- Responsible for updating and managing all documents in preparation for a festival including the press list, press advisory & bible
- Book flights and look in to suitable accommodation options for the team if required
- Arrange festival accreditations for the team
- Support with team expenses and budgets for travel, where required.
Strategy and commercial awareness
- Provide strong support on research for new business pitches / proposals
- Contribute to group brainstorms, demonstrating knowledge and creativity
- Attend meetings as part of the team and ensure new business prospects are explored
- Attend networking events
- Avidly follow industry news and review trade press daily, circulating key industry stories/news pertaining to DDA clients
- Develop knowledge of key international journalists

Knowledge, skills and experience
- Interest in International PR, no experience required but always welcome
- Demonstrate a "can-do" attitude and flexibility with changing workloads/demands

- Effective listening, strong verbal and written communications skills (including grammar)
- Strong organisational and time management skills

- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Internet research
- Must be happy to work additional hours as required and be available to travel internationally as needed. This will on occasion involve working evenings and weekends
- Additional languages are useful but not essential
