Salary: £37,000pa

The Role: 

Joining a structured engineering team the successful candidate will report directly into the site services Manager. The ideal candidate will be a professional and astute individual with proven experience and an electrical bias. The individual will be multi skilled in performing general repair and maintenance work that similar professionals do not cover. Even though you may not have the training and education necessary to complete work in a specific area, you provide the experience and versatility that other tradespeople do not have.


Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Completing statutory servicing & inspections and associated documentation
  • Deputy responsible Person – Electrical, Legionella & Fire Systems
  • Electrical installations, breakdowns, repairs & maintenance
  • Building repairs and maintenance, may include joinery and plumbing
  • Daily boiler and CHP checks and maintenance
  • LOLOR – Lift checks & maintenance
  • Legionella checks, maintenance and repairs
  • Daily effluent plant checks and maintenance
  • Daily air compressors checks and maintenance
  • General installations, breakdowns, and site maintenance
  • Support the day-to-day engineering function where required
  • Working together with the manufacturing function
  • Sprinkler system checks and maintenance
  • Continuous improvement of engineering ways of working to ensure improved equipment performance.
  • Support The continuation of implementation of IWS (Intersnack Working System)
  • Support Preparation for technical audits for food safety and health, safety, and environment
  • Support required on a day-to-day basis, e.g., Site security Barriers, CCTV, Fire Alarms, and Perimeter Fences. (Fire Pumps, sprinklers) Effluent Plant Water services, Compressor Services Boiler Services, Canteen areas and associated amenities Manage utilities company’s (This list is not exhaustive)

  • Apprenticeship qualified (Proven Trade Background Ideal)
  • C&G Level 3 – BS2365
  • BS7671 – 18th edition - is a must
  • BS2391 – Inspection & testing
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Able to perform basic mathematical calculations and convert measurements
  • Strong organisational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills
  • Can reliably work alone and as part of a team
  • Able to communicate well
  • Friendly with good interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrable experience as a qualified Electrical engineer
  • Multi-skilled in other trades
  • Complete compliance Audits
