Social Worker Mental Health

As a Mental Health Social Worker, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and delivering social work services to individuals with mental health needs. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure that our clients receive the highest standard of care. Key Responsibilities Assessment and Planning : Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health needs, risks, and strengths, developing individualized care plans to address their unique situations. Case Management : Manage a caseload of clients, ensuring timely interventions and ongoing support throughout their treatment journey. Multi-Disciplinary Collaboration : Work closely with healthcare providers, psychiatrists, nurses, and other professionals to deliver coordinated and comprehensive care. Crisis Intervention : Provide immediate support and intervention during crises, working to stabilize clients and connect them with appropriate services. Safeguarding : Identify and respond to safeguarding concerns, ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable adults and children. Advocacy and Support : Advocate for clients' rights and needs within the mental health system, empowering them to make informed choices about their care. Documentation : Maintain accurate and detailed records of all client interactions, assessments, and care plans in line with professional standards and organizational policies. Requirements Qualifications : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work. Registration : Current registration with Social Work England. Experience : Proven experience working in mental health, preferably within a social work or multidisciplinary team. Skills : Strong understanding of mental health issues and the challenges faced by individuals with mental health conditions. Excellent assessment, planning, and case management skills. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle emotionally challenging situations with empathy and professionalism. Additional Requirements : Enhanced DBS check. Full clean driving license (if applicable).
