People & Culture Manager

Located just a 5-minute walk from London City Airport and the DLR, Courtyard by Marriott London City Airport. The hotel is a 9-minute walk from ExCeL London, with easy access to Canary Wharf, The O2 Arena, and London's key transport hubs. The hotel features 184 rooms, a gym and three meeting rooms for up to 50 delegates. Our employees strive every day to provide all our guests with an unforgettable experience! To ensure that we can continue to stimulate, motivate and appreciate our employees, we are looking for a People & Culture Manager (24 hours per week). Your role will be to monitor and execute the People & Culture plan for the hotel ensuring the correct and consistent application and compliance with employment law and contractual conditions. You will manage the entire onboarding and offboarding procedure for all employees, developing department heads that are confident and adhere to the recruitment and selection procedures. You'll guide and support department heads in HR processes and the implementation of HR policy, providing training when necessary. Working together with the General Manager, department heads and the central P&C team at Cycas to set up and implement the Hotel Training Plan. Promoting and encouraging the use of reward and recognition programs, employee benefits etc. of the company and our hotels at career fairs, schools and through local network activities. The ideal candidate: Has or is actively working towards CIPD qualification; Has at least 2/3 years of experience in the HR department in a similar role (Experience in the hotel industry is a plus); Has experience with payroll administration; Has strong leadership and interpersonal skills; Is confident, energetic, enthusiastic and a real motivator; Has excellent organizational and planning skills; What do we offer in return?
