Job Opportunity: Project Engineer - Water
Location: Burham, Kent (with hybrid working options)
Salary: Up to £55,000 + comprehensive benefits package
Are you an experienced Project Engineer or Contracts Engineer ready to take your career to the next level? Based at Burham WSW in Kent, you'll play a vital role in driving the effective and economical design, procurement, and delivery of projects in the water sector.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you'll collaborate closely with the Project and Construction teams to ensure successful project execution. From cost control and payment applications to managing client relationships and contract documentation, you'll be central to keeping the project on track and aligned with contract standards.
What You'll Do:
Financial Management: Keep project costs within budget and submit payment applications on schedule.
Project Coordination: Support project planning and maintain up-to-date contract programmes and progress reports.
Client & Stakeholder Relations: Build and maintain strong, professional client and stakeholder relationships.
Documentation & Compliance: Manage contract files, assist in compiling O&M manuals, and prepare construction completion documents.
Subcontractor Liaison: Work with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely and quality project execution.
Continuous Improvement: Engage in professional development to stay current with industry innovations, Health & Safety, and CDM standards.
What You'll Bring:
Qualifications: HNC or equivalent in Electrical or Civil Engineering.
Contract Knowledge: Familiarity with NEC contract conditions and experience in supply chain management.
Sector Experience: Knowledge of water treatment processes and Health & Safety best practices.
Skills & Competencies: Strong project planning, cost control, risk management, and a collaborative, solution-oriented approach.
